Feb 2005 PSA screening at local mall

Over 500 men came out for a day of live talk radio, prostate health education and prostate cancer screening. The event was so successful that some men had to be turned away because of the demand for the blood test. Oakland Mall hosted the event, graciously donating the space for the testing, and the Justice Cancer Foundation in partnership with 97.1 Live FM WKRK and other local media, reached over 500,000 men about the importance PSA screening for prostate cancer. In a Poll of the over 500 men who participated in the PSA testing that day, it was discovered that 77% had never had a PSA before. The overwhelming turnout and response to this event highlights the importance of cancer education and prevention to the community.
